About Kelsey
The college search isn’t just about getting in the door – it’s about finding the right place to invest the next few years of your life and grow your future. Helping students discover their authentic interests and values and matching them to the right campus sets them up for long-term success. My goal is that on the first day of college, a student feels confident in their decision.
The college search should be an exciting process, right up there with other significant life milestones. Too often, students and families get caught in a whirlwind of facts and figures, dollar amounts, academic jargon, and competing deadlines. In my 15+ year career of working with students, faculty, and staff, I’ve honed my skills in simplifying complex processes to deliver the right messages at the right time. By cutting through the noise, I enjoy helping students breathe easier and prioritize effectively.
My 15+ year career in education and consulting includes:
Guiding students and families through critical enrollment action items
Coaching individuals on identifying their interests and effective storytelling
Representing public and private universities at admissions events like college fairs and campus visit days
Planning and facilitating new student and transfer orientation at a large, public research university
Instructing student success courses for first-year college students
Supporting the development and implementation of a new scholarship program
Collaborating with students, faculty, and staff in Honors Program and specialized living-learning communities
Engaging students around transitions, persistence, and long-term goals
Supervising and mentoring primarily first-year students living in university housing at medium and large private and public universities
Research and consulting with college and university enrollment and marketing teams
My educational background:
Graduate Certificate in Leadership, Marquette University
Master of Arts Degree in College Student Personnel, Bowling Green State University
Honors Bachelor of Arts in English and Classical Languages, Marquette University
